The Dimslow Report

3.28.05   Anti-Renter Statement of Intent   A Dimslow cousin poem

I am an anti-renter. I am against renting my life to others.
I don't want a lover who lives apart from me, who goes to her work and I to mine.

I don't want my blood loves, much less my partner,

knifed to the bone by the corporate blade

or the atomized career.

I am against

the solitary confinement of the wage slot.

I don't want relief, a patch, a pretty good fix;

I want a co-op;

I want the resources of this land

directed toward building co-ops;

I am an anti-renter;

I want to be in action, not act.

I am an anti-renter;

I am against corporate totalitarianism;

I am against money that speaks for money;

I am tired of blood dripping from the corporate blade;

I am tired of ruined health, ruined minds, ruined worlds.

Corporations: Official Sponsors of the Universe,

holding exclusive rights, a monopoly,

a huge return on investment.

People: Official Nothings,

designated consumers of corporate crap, corporate crime, corporate killings.

Have a Coke and Smile!

&*%^>#$&#%@$*!!!

Rotted teeth ache for the corporate throat,

the jugular that may not exist.

But co-ops are like Kryptonite

and I work toward the day when we replenish this land

with co-ops like Kryptonite

and no corporations survive.
